The stars at night... are big and bright... deep in the heart of TEXAS!!

ROAD TRIP!!! Lots of firsts! First road trip. First time visiting Texas. First time seeing a lot of new family. Sadly, first time to go to a funeral.

My Daddys uncle passed away, so we packed up and drove down to the Lone Star State. I did pretty well in the car. Momma sat in the back so we could play and sing songs and she could get me food or juice whenever I wanted. Chloe-Girl sat in the back with us too. She loves it when I pet her. Cooco sat up front with Daddy, helping him navigate. That is a long trip, but it wasn't too bad. I slept a lot. When we got there, I got to see my Great Aunt Karen and Great Uncle Ray and their dogs Molly and Meghan!

After some rest, we went and saw Papa Kerry and Uncle Michael and a lot more family! I had met all of the Kentucky family before, but not the Texas family. There were even other little kids there for me to play with. Me and Cayden got into the drawers. I'm so glad there is someone else that likes to do that!

During the rest of the trip, I got to see my Grampa Jerry who was in town for work and my Cousin Nicole! Then we drove home. But I saw Aunt Karen had a pool in her yard, so I think we should go back when it is hot out!

Presents!

Opening presents is really fun! Boxes, paper, boxes, paper!! Then you have to wait for Daddy to get the toy unlocked or for Momma to remove the tags from the clothes… Then TOYS! And new CLOTHES! And boxes and paper! Is it my birthday again soon?

A picture is worth a thousand cakes!

As promised… Birthday pictures! Momma fixed her camera, so you can see me eating my yummy blue cake! Momma and Daddy sang “Happy Birthday” to me, and then let me eat cake. I wasn’t sure how to eat it, so I just put my face into the cake and chomped on it. Momma showed me how I could break a piece off with my fingers and eat it that way. Well, that is way more fun and messy! Within minutes, me, my doggies and the carpet was covered in blue cake crumbs! It was so yummy! Why don’t we have cake every day?

Buddy!

For my Birthday, Momma and Daddy took me to Build-A-Bear for a new friend! I played with all of them to make sure I got the right best friend. I finally settled on a cuddly puppy, because I love my doggies at home! We stuffed him, I kissed his heart and he got all sewed up! We picked out a “happy birthday” t-shirt for him, some jeans and some sneakers. He went with us to dinner and I have slept with him every night. I even got to have him in my Birthday Pictures the next day! I named him Buddy, because that is what Momma and Daddy called me before I was born. I love Buddy :)

Happy Birthday to me!!

I am a Big Boy now! Here I am with a present that Cousin Gina sent me. I also got to eat blue cake, but Mommas camera is being dumb, so it may be a while before you see those. This weekend, I get to Build A Bear and get my photo taken by professionals. I'm so excited!! The only bad thing about turning one is that I have to go to the doctor. But no sweat, I'm a Big Boy, remember?
